Exciting careers
This year, Trade Marketing Club’s traditional summer event was organised with personal and online participation. Both the topic and the opportunity to meet attracted members and non-members.
Approximately 80 people registered for the event, the grillparty and summer opening event as part of this year’s professional program.
Attitude is important
As the introduction to the talk show, Sándor Baja, the managing director of Randstad, one of the world’s largest and number one bounty hunter companies in Hungary, spoke about how confident expertise determines what it’s worth when it’s marketing or sales, when it’s Z, Y, X or a member of the Great Generation age group. Continuous self-education, awareness, sparkling eyes, and a positive attitude are needed for someone to gain a desired position or remain competitive in the job market. Many are becoming leaders at a young age, as more and more service centers, SSC are headquartered in Hungary. India has lost its popularity as the precarious infrastructure of homes are inappropriate for home-office. In Hungary, 12% of employees changed jobs in the second half of 2020 and even more are thinking about switching. The focus has been on retaining the existing workforce, Employer Branding, communication to the own employees. The FMCG industry has once again become attractive to career starters as it has proven to be crisis and pandemic resistant, maintaining its stability. Round table discussion
After the presentations, the program continued with a roundtable discussion. Sándor Baja, CEO of Randstad, as a successful leader leaving the FMCG sector, said the industry was beginning to regain its attractiveness. Answering a question, Tímea Berki, head of regional marketing marketing at Upfield Eastern Europe, said that the connecting, balancing role in trade marketing is the most exciting. Fanni Kocsonya, Coca-Cola’s Hellenic trainee, reported on internships spanning key areas where she could gain valuable experience. Summer is starting
The professional block was housed in the Rudas Bistro Panorama Room, where those gathered could enjoy the view of the Danube and Budapest. During the barbecue party, the shady terrace was taken over by the guests of the Trade Marketing Club. The conversation and relationship building continued in small groups. During the traditional cake, future prospects, upcoming events and programs were discussed, with the hope that the face-to-face meeting would be natural and accepted again.
