Digital development, decades of values – these two go hand in hand
Dm celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and today online and offline shopping already meet in dm stores, supplementing each other. Innovative solutions make it possible for shoppers to buy the things they need the way it is most convenient for them. Customers can choose from more than 12,000 products in the dm online shop. 2022 was a milestone year for dm, as last spring the dm App was launched, offering a complex service and also making all active beauty loyalty information available to shoppers.
Dm knows very well what women need and want, and from the spring of 2023 the drugstore chain is focusing on women’s health with its activities. What is more, in the autumn a HUF 30m budget will be set aside for projects that seek to contribute to the physical and mental health of women.
Dm knows the latest beauty care trends and gives confidence to women
Dm is there when big things happen: when getting ready for the first date, when we want to look the best, when a baby is about to be born, when we plant to clean our home or when we need natural products to stay healthy. The newest trends and ingredients appear in the products of dm drugstores instantly. With their expertise, dm store staff assist customers in their choices.
Private label products are a very important part of dm’s story, with popular ranges such as Balea, trend IT UP, Denkmit and sustainability leaders like dmBio and alverde natural cosmetics. Thanks to dm’s guaranteed low prices programme, prices don’t rise for 4-month periods in dm drugstores.
The island of peace on busy weekdays
Shoppers who enter a dm store receive attention and find themselves in a calm, peaceful environment, where they can comfortably find and purchase the products they need. Dm drugstores are regularly revamped both inside and outside. In the anniversary year the stores get a new layout. There is LED lighting in 178 dm stores and on 13,000m² of floor space in the Érd warehouse, saving 100,000 kWh and 35 tonnes of CO2 per year. With the water purification systems installed in stores, dm saves 120,000 PET bottles a year.
A team behind the success
There is a successful, more than 3,000-member team behind dm products and services. Several family-friendly practices make working for dm better, and the company pays special attention to the balance of work and private life. According to the results of the 2022 Employee Satisfaction Survey, 86% of respondents think dm is a good workplace. Workers can participate in training programmes.
Many years have passed since the first store opened in 1993, but one thing has remained the same: people are in the centre of attention – and this is true for both shoppers and workers. This is why it isn’t surprising at all that dm is Hungary’s market leader drugstore chain today, which is waiting for customers in its stores on every day of the week.
