KSH: the trade surplus continued to rise in February
In February, exports in euros increased by 6.0, while imports rose by by 6.1 percent compared with the previous year.
The trade balance surplus increased by 41 million euros to 848 million euros, compared to the previous year and was 139 million euros higher than in January – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) that was published on Monday.
The data is slightly lower than the first estimate released on 8 April. In the first two months of the year exports increased by 4.9 percent, while imports increased by 3.4 percent, while the export surplus was 1.557 billion euros, 243 million more than a year before. (MTI)
