A consumer reorganization similar to spring is expected not in terms of purchase frequency, but in terms of preferred channels. In response to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ipsos is continuing its CX tracking research series, which monitors trends in consumer experience and satisfaction during a pandemic.

The number of daily illnesses was not followed by a deterioration in consumer sentiment similar to spring. The index, measured on a ten-point scale, is not even close to the previous negative record of 5.7 at the beginning of April, despite the average three-fold increase in the number of cases per day. The tenth measurement in the series, launched as a result of the deteriorating market outlook, reflects a basically positive mood of 6.4, which is still well above the average for the spring pandemic and only slightly lower than 6.8 level at the beginning of the summer when the virus fell.
