Ipsos: Hungarian consumers are bolder and more realistic but for how long
The number of daily illnesses was not followed by a deterioration in consumer sentiment similar to spring. The index, measured on a ten-point scale, is not even close to the previous negative record of 5.7 at the beginning of April, despite the average three-fold increase in the number of cases per day. The tenth measurement in the series, launched as a result of the deteriorating market outlook, reflects a basically positive mood of 6.4, which is still well above the average for the spring pandemic and only slightly lower than 6.8 level at the beginning of the summer when the virus fell.
