Premium-quality Hungarian mangalica meat also reaches Hong Kong
On Wednesday, Zsolt Feldman, the State Secretary responsible for agriculture and rural development of the Ministry of Agriculture, received Romeo Alfonso, the director of the owner of Sutherland Ltd. in Hong Kong. The discussion focused on expanding the sales opportunities for Hungarian premium mangalica products on Southeast Asian markets.
The meeting was attended by Péter Ondré, managing director of the Agrármarketing Centrum, and Péter Tóth, president of the National Association of Mangalica Breeders. Located on the southern coast of China and operating in a city-state known as a special administrative region, the company is a key player in the premium meat market in Hong Kong and Macau. The company is currently visiting Hungary for the distribution of Mangalica Debreceni Pároskolbász in Hong Kong, further increasing the purchases of restaurant-quality domestic mangalica meat that began in 2009. With the cooperation of the Agricultural Marketing Center, AM continuously helps the market appearance of Hungarian food market players on the Asian markets.
