Agricultural vocational training provides young people with a predictable vision of the future

Today, agricultural technical colleges and vocational schools offer a predictable life path, 21st century. in the conditions of the 21st century they provide century-old knowledge. Young people can become masters of their profession, continue their education, and thus successfully take their place in the world of work, said Minister of Agriculture István Nagy on Saturday, in Szombathely, at the Savaria Floriadae and Savaria Parcum award ceremony.

The head of the department emphasized that education based on high-quality experience can only be realized if the students learn firsthand the skills and mastery that are needed for successful professional work. He added that for this, dual training places are necessary, where students can broaden their theoretical and practical knowledge in the real economic environment. This is supported by the sectoral training center structure. In 2023, the agricultural sector training centers were established with the participation of four agricultural vocational training centers. These can play a catalytic role in the coming period, helping the transfer of knowledge and, ultimately, the spread of sustainable agricultural practices, more efficient production, the production of better quality crops, and the development of a competitive food industry, explained the minister. István Nagy emphasized that it is a great pleasure that agricultural vocational training is becoming more and more popular, whether it is in the fields of agriculture and forestry, the food industry, or environmental protection and water affairs. The number of students in agricultural vocational training exceeds 20,000, which means that young people find modernized agriculture attractive and see in it the future, their future, emphasized the head of the ministry.
