The export of agricultural products increased by one-third
The export of agricultural products increased by one-third over the past 7-8 years, of which 83 percent is aimed to the European Union’s (EU) member states – Fazekas Sándor Minister of Agriculture told M1 news channel.
The minister stressed that in the coming period, agriculture has to meet challenges such as digitalization and precision production.
Fazekas Sándor on Kossuth Radio’s 180-minute program said on Wednesday that in the past few years 70,000 new jobs were created in agriculture and related areas, and the number of small producers has tripled. However, there is a shortage of labor in the sector, and 50,000 new jobs will be set up in the coming years – he added. (MTI)
