We have one week left to tell in drawings what we learned from grandma
The staff of the National Food Chain Safety Office’s (Nébih) No Left Behind program are waiting until July 25 for the drawings of elementary and high school students for the “According to Grandma” competition. The application focuses on practices that can be learned from grandparents, which reduce food waste, and good household practices that span generations. The creators of the most outstanding entries receive valuable prizes, and they can also present their creations to the general public at a street exhibition.
In addition to the experience, children also gain a lot of useful knowledge by cooking together with their grandparents: for example, they can learn about ingredients, the use of kitchen utensils, the importance of measuring and portioning, and the importance of hygiene. All this, among many other things, can contribute to the development of healthy and sustainable eating habits and respect for food. That is why the No Leftovers program’s drawing competition this year focused on the practices used “According to Grandma”, which also supports one of the most important goals of Nébih: increasing schoolchildren’s awareness of food waste prevention and food safety.
You can apply for the drawings for 10 more days
For one more week, until July 25, the staff of the Without Leftovers program are waiting for children and young people to show through their drawings what personal experiences and lessons they received from their grandparents regarding kitchen practices, especially reducing food waste. The prize winners of the professional jury receive a valuable reward, and the office also prepares a gift for the audience’s favorites and the most active school. In addition to all of this, a street exhibition of the most outstanding works will also open this year in Nébih II. in the district center. The drawing competition is supported by the National Association of Large Families as a professional partner, and several businesses provide prizes.
