The business impacts of sustainability
Sustainable business operations don’t only have environmental, but also financial and marketing advantages. A market survey conducted by the Responsible Gastro Hero Foundation in 2018 revealed: more than 50 percent of consumers trust green trademarks, more than half of environmentally conscious guests would prefer a certified restaurant over an ordinary eatery. Bars and restaurants can earn the Sustainable Hospitality Unit certification if they operate more sustainably than the average. Green thinking is more and more prevalent in the Hungarian hospitality business too.
