Retail sales in Germany increased less than expected
Retail sales in Germany increased less than expected in June, in an annual comparision, but on a monthly basis, the growth was strong.
According to preliminary data released by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on Monday, retail sales grew by 1.5 percent compared to last June. Analysts expected a 2.7 percent rise after the exceptionally high rise of 4.9 percent in May. (MTI)
