METRO prepares for Easter with new products and services
For METRO the meat/meat product category has always been of great importance and in 2012 regional, homely flavours were in the limelight: in many stores local flavours have been added to the product assortment. Communications manager Yvette Krubl told our magazine that in comparison with 2011, last year traditional Hungarian ham sales in METRO stores increased in terms of both value and volume.
METRO’s most popular product in the Easter season is tied ham made from shoulder blade. In this period imported Spanish, Italian and German hams of the higher price category (these hams are matured for several months) can also be found in stores. Today most ham types are made from pork, smaller packaging units are more popular and ham products sold in bulk also do well. This year METRO prepares for the Easter season with special tasting sessions and with the return of Corvinus, the company’s premium private label brand. METRO is going to publish its Easter Gourmet catalogue, which will introduce all the Corvinus products.Related news
