Carbon dioxide shortage plagues the British economy
There is a growing carbon shortage in Great Britain. Some producers of soft drinks, beer and meat processing companies have already reduced their production. Market participants are urging government intervention to resolve the situation.
Coca-Cola has temporarily shut down production in some plants due to carbon dioxide supply disruption, but deliveries have been able to cope well with production cuts so far. The company said it would have to tackle a challenge that affects the entire carbonated soft drinks industry – BBC wrote. (origo, Kovács István)
