The development of fish stocks in natural waters is a strategic goal
The strategic goal is to develop the fish stocks of domestic natural waters by rehabilitating spawning grounds and protecting self-sustaining stocks, Minister of Agriculture Nagy István said on Thursday in Budapest, at a press conference in connection with the 2021 performance report of the Hungarian National Fishing Association (MOHOSZ).
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture explained that the number of registered fishermen increased by 75 percent in four years, from 440,000 of 2018 to almost 777,000 in 2021. (MTI)
