The total revenue of companies using the Magyar Termék trademark system exceeded HUF 2,650 billion last year – said the managing director of Magyar Termék Nonprofit Kft. on Thursday in Budaörs, where he also announced the relaunch of the company Vedd a hazait! Protect your homeland! campaign.

Eszter Benedek added: last year, more than 230 manufacturers used the trademark on five thousand goods, and compared to the 2020 data, the number of trademark users increased by nearly 30 percent by the end of 2022. At the press conference held at the Auchan department store in Budaörs, the managing director also reported that Vedd a hazait! was launched for the first time in 2020, during the coronavirus epidemic. Protect your homeland! their campaign is very successful, 100 companies are now participating in it, several of which already use the Hungarian Product trademark. Naszálytej Zrt. will appear on the shelves of Auchan stores with new packaging that conveys the message of the campaign as one of the stages of the action launched again this spring, he added.

The restarted campaign improved the situation of domestic manufacturers

According to Eszter Benedek, Vedd a házait! Protect your homeland! the relaunch of the campaign was justified, among other things, by the fact that the economic situation in recent months is more complex compared to the period three years ago. “They want to tangibly improve the situation of domestic manufacturers and put them in a better position,” he said. He said that based on the results of an online survey of 16,000 people conducted at the end of last year, the issue of price is even more important for customers than before, but at the same time, “it was clearly revealed that it is important for almost all consumers (96 percent) that on the shelves of retail chains as much as possible they can choose from several Hungarian products, that is, they do not give up domestic goods”.
