Why can fluorinated packaging be dangerous?
Perfluoroic and polyfluorinated alkyl compounds are becoming increasingly challenging for both food safety and environmental protection. The “supermaterial”, which is widely used in places ranging from clothes to hand creams and packaging to fire extinguishing equipment, can seriously harm health, according to the latest presentation of the WESSLING Knowledge Centre’s scientific video series.
