A sharp increase in retail sales in the Czech Republic
Retail sales rose by 6.3 percent in the Czech Republic in February. This is the largest February increase since 2008 – the Czech Statistical Office noted.
In February, the Czechs spent a lot more on fuel than in the past. The growth was 10 percent, however, the price was 8 percent lower. However the fuel prices, after a few months of decline, began to rise again in February. The turnover of online businesses increased as well, by 25 percent, while interest towards clothing and footwear decreased. (MTI)
