KSH: GDP grew by 7.1 percent in 2021 as a whole

Hungary’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 7.1 per cent in 2021 compared to the previous year, and by 2.1 percent in 2019, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.

In the fourth quarter of last year, it grew by 7.2 percent year-on-year and 7.1 percent year-on-year and calendar-adjusted, according to the raw data. Compared to the previous quarter, the performance of the economy increased by 2.1 percent according to seasonally and calendar-adjusted and balanced data. Market services contributed most to the growth.

Compared to the fourth quarter of 2019, GDP grew by 4.0 percent based on raw data. (MTI)
