General meeting 2022
In October the Hungarian Confectioners Guild held its general meeting – it was originally scheduled for February, but was postponed due to the pandemic. Members gathered in the Four Points by Sheraton Kecskemét Hotel & Conference Centre in Kecskemét.
Before the general meeting there were exciting presentations by the representatives of sponsors and partners, and 18 companies exhibited their new products. In the afternoon participants could listen to the annual report on 2021 by the guild’s president, Balázs Erdélyi.

The day’s programme ended with an award ceremony. As for the turnout: 68 of the guild’s member companies registered for the general meeting, and the number of participants was above 100. //

Hungarian Confectioners Guild
Balázs Erdélyi, president of the Hungarian Confectioners Guild summarised the events of 2021 in his report.
He told that the guild has new, more modern logos. As part of the National Talent Programme, 15 talented young confectioners could profit from mentoring in the KOVÁSZ programme.
In the Erasmus+ mobility programme 56 guild members have had the chance to learn new things abroad since 2020. Besides Ice Cream of the Year and Cake of Hungary, the guild also organised the One with Nature competition, which paid tribute to the World Hunting and Nature Exhibition.
After the first waves of the pandemic, the guild’s workshop was already working at full capacity in October and November, hosting professional presentations and workshops. //
