It was found out whether Coca-Cola or Pepsi performs better
The long-standing rivalry between Coca-Cola and Pepsi continues, with both companies having a surprisingly successful third quarter, exceeding market expectations. Despite both companies’ shares falling slightly this year, Coca-Cola and Pepsi both posted positive results.
Coca-Cola currently has a market capitalization of $242 billion, which is about $20 billion more than Pepsi’s, according to CNBC.
Both companies beat Wall Street analysts’ estimates for third-quarter results and raised their full-year forecasts. However, it is worth noting that only Coca-Cola was able to report volume growth.
The metric that filters out price and exchange rate effects has recently become increasingly important among investors, as food and beverage companies try to avoid price increases.
Coca-Cola’s third-quarter total sales increased by 2 percent, while Pepsi reported stagnant beverage sales and a 1.5 percent decline.
