Less fish died in Lake Balaton during the spring
In spite of the long winter and the long-lasting ice, the fishermen of the Lake Balaton Fish Management Nonprofit Ltd. have collected far fewer fish bodies than usual this year – the CEO told MTI.
Szári Zsolt explained that the main reason for spring fish deaths in natural waters is due to the poorly saturated, elderly or sick individuals in poor condition can not withstand the loss of energy caused by the spawning. (MTI)
