Adventures for summer, nourishment for winter

Abigél Győri
junior brand manager
Henkel
According to Abigél Győri, junior brand manager with Henkel, this year ushered in many new innovations, product launches and market entries for brands. In the second half of 2018 Henkel also put a new brand on the Hungarian market: Nature Box is a vegan, silicone-, paraben and artificial colouring-free hair and body care product line. The products are available in five versions, they are made with 100-percent cold-pressed oils and marketed in packaging that is partly made from recycled materials.
In connection with the end-of-year product launches Ms Győri told: although sales had been diminishing in the hair styling segment for years, 2018 brought market growth so far. Hair sprays (lacquers) constitute the biggest part of the market, but gels, waxes and foams are coming up. Women in every age group are buying hair spray and the company’s Taft brand is market leader in this category. Young shoppers tend to buy the product in drugstores and supermarkets, while older customers prefer to get them in hypermarkets and shops belonging to Hungarian retail chains. In the remaining part of the year Taft will introduce limited edition Glam Styles hair spray to the market.

Bianka Andavölgyi
junior brand manager
Dove
In 2017 Unilever launched the latest hair care products in the Dove Nourishing Secrets range as a reaction to consumer demand for products with natural ingredients and intense fragrance. Dove junior brand manager
Bianka Andavölgyi informed that Dove Thickening Ritual Shampoo has lavender oil and rosemary extract, while Dove Restoring Ritual Shampoo contains coconut and turmeric oil. Since statistical data show that nearly 60 percent of Hungarian women dye or colour their hair regularly, Unilever developed the new Dove Colour Care Vibrancy products, which are manufactured with Colour Revitalizer and collagen.
Bedrock Kft.’s latest product is also for dyed or coloured hair: in the third quarter of 2018 they are putting a new product range on the market that helps to retain the hair colour’s intensity and freshness, plus to avoid blonde hair ‘going yellow’ – revealed brand manager Noémi Gilányi.

Zsuzsa Tabár

Target Sales Group
We learned from Target Sales Group’s product manager Zsuzsa Tabár that they had launched the bamboo extract versions of the inecto Naturals range this autumn. The shampoo and the conditioner strengthen the structure of the hair. They support the launch with a CSR campaign too, which started in September: from the price of each product sold 30 forints go to Rex Dog Shelter. //
