Future-proof strategies discussed at the Agóra conference
August was a special month for Hungarian Product Nonprofit Kft.: they not only organised the very successful Hungarian Product Month campaign, but also the 9th Agóra conference at the Rókusfalvy Estate in Etyek.

The event focused on future-proof strategies and customer acquisition in the age of robots. Eszter Benedek, managing director of Hungarian Product Nonprofit Kft. was the host of the conference.
There were nearly 160 participants, who were also welcomed by Pál Rókusfalvy, government commissioner responsible for national wine marketing.
Ministry of Agriculture guarantees the protection of domestic producers and their products
Dr Márton Nobilis, secretary of state for the food industry and trade policy at the Ministry of Agriculture gave a short-term forecast on when Hungarian retail might enter a phase of upturn again. He also talked about government tasks such as bringing down inflation, protecting domestic producers and their products, and regulating the import market.
“We are constantly working to put as many of your products on store shelves as possible”,
he told.
The efficiency of the Hungarian food industry is getting closer to the world average
Dávid Hollósi, managing director of MBH Bank Nyrt.’s agri-food division analysed how to improve and maintain competitiveness and efficiency.
He pointed out that the number of small businesses with export-quality products is still relatively low. It is good news that according to the latest data, the efficiency of Hungary’s food industry is getting closer to the world average.
Eszter Benedek stressed: the key to the success of the community of trademark using partners is working together and sharing knowledge. She revealed that the number of trademarked products will increase from 5,000 last year to 5,500 by the end 2023.
Employers don’t act, while the digitalisation and smart device revolution continue
Imre Tüzes, business development director of Profession.hu gave a presentation on the labour market trends in the Hungarian FMCG sector. He told that the recruitment market is still demand-driven, but there is a sense of uncertainty among companies.
Mihály Zala, head of IT and technology consulting at EY Magyarország spoke about the IT security challenges FMCG executives need to face.
Digital evangelist János Arany analysed the impact of digitalisation and smart devices on us, and told how to make the most of these.
Krisztián Steigervald discussed how and when the digital space serves as a bridge connecting generations, and when it is a barrier dividing them
Professional forums with manufacturers, retailers and analysts
The first professional roundtable discussion was moderated by László Szilágyi, franchise owner of ActionCOACH Magyarország, and the participants were Gabriella Heiszler, president- CEO of SPAR Magyarország Kereskedelmi Kft., Zoltán Eszéki, sales director of Heineken Hungária Breweries Zrt., Péter Budaházy, managing director of Helia-D Kft. and Erik Vágyi, managing director of NiIQ. At the second professional forum, the moderator was Zsadány Vécsey, co-founder of ALEAS Group, and the participants were Ádám Bengyel, co-founder and CEO of Foxpost, and Gergely Koltányi, senior digital training and development expert.
