Consumer sentiment improved in the United States in March
According to the final data released on Friday, the value of the consumer sentiment index jumped from 76.8 points in February by 8.1 points to 84.9 points, which is the best value since March 2020.
The final figure is also better than the 83.6 points expected by analysts and the preliminary 83 points reported two weeks ago.
Among the sub-indices, the indicator of consumer expectations for the next six months jumped from 70.7 points to 79.7 points, and the value of the sub-indicator reflecting the current situation jumped from 86.2 points to 93.0 points. Both values also rose to a one-year high. (MTI)
