Majority of Hungarian sour cherry exported to Germany
Hungary is the third biggest sour cherry producer in Europe, with an output around 60,000 tonnes per year.

Domestic consumption is typically 10,000-15,000 tonnes per annum, and the rest is exported, mainly to Germany, in a large part preserved, in glass jar packaging. //
