HR service provider: the majority of employees did not receive a salary increase
The majority of domestic workers did not receive a salary increase, where wages were raised, employers mostly did it themselves due to the ever-increasing cost of living, the Work Force HR service provider told MTI on Tuesday.
In March of this year, the company dealing with temporary staffing and labor mediation conducted a survey of about 1,000 domestic workers.
According to the announcement, 41 percent of the respondents received a salary increase, of which 30 percent of those interviewed said that their employers initiated the increase on their own without them having to apply for it separately.
The survey revealed that the majority of manual workers asked for a salary increase, albeit unsuccessfully, while white-collar workers were more shy, and only 23 percent of them tried to demand a higher wage from their employer.
In the capital, only 27 percent of proactive initiatives were rejected, while in rural areas, 72 percent of salary increase requests from employees proved unsuccessful.
