The GKI economic activity index remained on its 3 year nadir
GKI’s business index remained at its almost 40-month low in January, following a slight deterioration in business expectations in February and a nearly same improvement in consumer expectations – the GKI Economic Research Co. told MTI.
The EU-backed GKI survey shows minus 2.6 after the February business index after minus 2.5 in January. The business confidence index plunged from 1.0 in January to 0.7 in February, while the consumer confidence index rose from minus 12.5 to minus 12.1.
Within business expectations, industrial expectations improved, while those in other sectors worsened compared to January. (MTI)
