Auchan launches sustainable ice cream in Portugal
Auchan Portugal has teamed up with local brand O Gelado to launch a new vegan banana-coconut flavoured ice cream as a solution to food waste.

The product is made using ripe bananas that would otherwise be thrown away, and the chain’s estimation is that it will save around 6,500 bananas right at launch. The ice cream contains 65% banana – about one and a half saved bananas per box.
