Domestic McDonald’s restaurants will be closed on December 24
Keeping in mind the interests of employees and their families, domestic McDonald’s restaurants will be closed from 6 a.m. on December 24. The initiative is not new, as most of the restaurants operated by Progress Étteremhálózat Kft. have been closed on this day in recent years, and typically on December 25 as well. At the same time, this year colleagues working in restaurants will have the opportunity to spend the holidays with their loved ones on an even wider scale, including franchise stores.
McDonald’s domestic units will remain closed on December 24 this year. Out of the 113 restaurants, the only exceptions are those located in the Aréna Mall and MOM Park, as the shopping center has prescribed opening hours there.
“For our company, it is extremely important that our colleagues can spend the Christmas holiday in peace with their family members and loved ones. In previous years, the majority of domestic McDonald’s restaurants were closed on December 24, but this year, together with our franchise partners, we managed to implement for the first time on a system level that all but two of our restaurants will be closed,”
said Andrea Horváth, operator of domestic McDonald’s restaurants. HR Director of Progress Étteremháros Kft.
