Carrefrour Belgium reduces the salt content of bread by 25 percent
Carrefour Belgium has announced that it has cut salt in its range of breads by 25 percent, as part of the group’s ‘Act for Food’ initiative. The retailer aims to offer healthy food options to its customers with this step. On average, Belgians consume 10 grams of salt per day, which is 5 grams more than the maximum recommended by the WHO – the company reported.
