Budapest also organized the Chance to the Food day
After London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and other large cities, the Chance to the Food day was organized in Budapest. At the event 5,000 meals were cooked in a huge cauldron cooking for those in need from donated good quality ingredients.
The action aims to draw attention to the potential huge opportunities in food surpluses. The event was organized on the ocassion of the World Environment Day in cooperation with 12 organizations, and the participation of hundreds of volunteers. In addition to the organizers the organizers urge an extensive unity, in addition to i raise awareness to the initative.
