The EU is introducing stricter limits for the carcinogen content of foods
According to a Commission decision based on many years of scientific research, maximum levels of carcinogenic cadmium in fruit, vegetables, cereals and oilseeds should be reduced by commodity producers, as should lead, in infant formulas and follow-on formulas. In addition, the committee set a new maximum level for lead in forest mushrooms, spices and salt. (MTI)
