Ádám Pohner will represent Hungary in the European final of Bocuse d’Or
One of Sirha Budapest’s highlights was the Hungarian final of the Bocuse d’Or chef competition. Several hundred people were cheering for the country’s best chefs, who were cooking from ingredients purchased at the 1,000m² stand of METRO Hungary. Competitors had to prepare a meat and a vegetarian dish.
Ádám Pohner, the sous chef of Kistücsök Restaurant in Balatonszemes won the final, so he will represent Hungary in the European final in Torino. István Volonter finished second and István Veres won the bronze medal. When the results were ceremonially announced, jury president Enrico Crippa and Tamás Széll (the winner of Bocuse d’Or Europe in 2016) praised the performance of the finalists. //
