Preserving the values of poultry processing in Szentes: the team behind the VALDOR brand
The VALDOR brand collective has been a member of the Bonafarm meat marketing team since 2020. It is a real challenge in the diverse domestic poultry meat market to make the company’s premium quality products visible. VALDOR produces fresh chicken and duck products and oven-ready breaded poultry meat products, being one of the top brands in the domestic market. 2022 was a milestone year for VALDOR: the brand team implemented a campaign that told the story of 100 years of poultry processing in Szentes, showing the expertise behind VALDOR products.
Tünde Matyasovszky, senior brand manager:
“As the first step of the campaign, our antibiotic-free fresh chicken products got a special anniversary packaging. We collaborated with gastro-blogger Zsófi Mautner in a video series, in which she reinterpreted classic poultry dishes from Szentes – this activity was also supported by a microsite.”
The brand underwent an image renewal too, getting a new modern logo and a new packaging design for breaded products.
Lilla Líbor, product manager:
“We entered the children’s product segment with VALDOR Zoo breaded chicken breast fillet. This high meat content, preservative-, colour- and additive-free product supports the brand’s message that breaded products can also offer premium quality.”

Klaudia Kóbor, marketing specialist:
“Consumers reward credible brand content with their loyalty. This is the reason why we launched an educational campaign about healthier product preparation, without using cooking oil, in partnership with the Hungarian Dietetic Association – their experts gave professional advice to consumers on the VALDOR Facebook page.”
The marketing specialist added that brand owner Hungerit Zrt. takes great care to preserve the poultry processing expertise acquired in Szentes in the past 100 years, integrating it into the company’s innovation work.
