Hungarians can’t even imagine their diet plans without meat
Pápai Hús Kft. has conducted an online survey on conscious eating and meat consumption, with more than 4,000 participants.

20% of respondents said they keep track of their daily calorie intake, and 55.6% of them also check the fat content of the meat and processed meat products they buy. A little less than 30% of people said they choose a special diet because of health reasons, and 15% mentioned weight loss as their main reason.
Hungary is a nation of meat eaters: for 90% of respondents, meat and processed meats are essential in their diets. 96% eat meat several times a week and 33% do it daily. 63% of consumers who follow some kind of special diet integrate meat into it. Poultry and pork have been the most popular for years, but 29.5% of the Pápai Hús Kft. survey’s participants said they have fish the most often. It is noteworthy that 93.7% of Hungarians are willing to pay more for better quality meat. //
