The Hungarian meat industry is calling for solidarity against the expected dumping of pigs from Germany
The Association of Hungarian Meat Industry urges retail chains not to buy and sell pork at unrealistically low prices, even if German pork appears on the European market at dumped prices due to swine fever, the association told MTI on Thursday after ASP-infected wild boar has been found in Germany.
The association explains in a statement that the outbreak of the virus in the European Union’s largest pork-producing country is expected to cause significant market disruption to the pork market in the EU in the short term. (MTI)
