For 12 years CSR Hungary has been rewarding the firms and organisations that take corporate social responsibility seriously. In 2019 22 winners were announced and at the award ceremony CSR Hungary managing director Júlia Takács told: today CSR work and sustainability are factors that increase a company’s market value and competitiveness. Ferenc Hizó, deputy state secretary of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology added that it is a big step forward if an enterprise realises that business interests and sustainable development complement each other.

Ms Takács explained that the CSR Hungary Award utilises a voluntary trademark usage system to support the CSR management systems of Hungarian businesses. Those who enter this scheme undergo multi-level audits before they can position themselves in the market by using the CSR Hungary Award trademarks – to impress not only consumers but other stakeholders too, by this spreading the culture of sustainable and responsible corporate culture.
