This is what happened in 2017
László Kovács, the president of the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) evaluated 2017 from the guild’s perspective. Last year was a busy one for MVI, with negotiations about the preferential VAT rate and the service fee with the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ). After a meeting with the president of the Food Bank, MVI worded a recommendation for data collection in connection with food waste.
The guild supported many competitions, for instance the Hungarian Sommeliére Championship, the Chaine young chef competition, the Hungarian selection and final for WorldSkills, etc. MVI participated in several conferences, represented by president László Kovács and vice president Rudolf Semsei. MVI also organised a conference, a so-called open day at the Pest County directorate of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV). //
