The unified food chain is the basis of consumer safety
The elements of the food chain cannot be separated, they can only guarantee the safety of consumers in unity, basing on modern food safety – the Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture said on Friday at the closing ceremony of the Szent István University’s Faculty of Food Sciences.
At the event Zsigó Róbert said that the supports of innovations strengthening the competitiveness of the sector are the priority objectives of the Ministry of Agriculture. The importance of the latter was emphasized by Palkovics László, the rector of the university as well, noting that Hungarian agriculture, instead of processed products, still mainly produces raw materials. Food will be a major commodity in the world, and its production is one of the great challenges of the future – he added. (MTI)
