Change in the management of Storck Hungária
As of October 1, 2024, Gergely Kernya will replace János Fábián, founder and CEO, at the head of Storck Hungária Kft.
János Fábián started his extremely successful career 25 years ago as the first employee of the Hungarian subsidiary. The introduction of several successful brands, outstanding market results and numerous domestic awards are to his credit, and in addition to all this, he also reigned for a long time as the vice president of the Association of Hungarian Confectionery Manufacturers. In the meantime, the Hungarian subsidiary also took on a prominent regional role and simultaneously managed 3-6 export countries from the headquarters in Budapest. From October, János Fábián continues his professional career within the company group, but abroad.
The management of Storck Hungária will be taken over from October by the company’s current commercial director, Gergely Kernya, as Business Unit Director. The new managing director has been a member of the Hungarian subsidiary since the beginning of 2013 and was responsible for the development of export markets until 2022. During this time, he managed to make the Romanian and Bulgarian markets among the most dynamically developing and most important export markets within the company group. From the beginning of 2022, he will strengthen the commercial team of Storck Hungária, now as a commercial manager. His preparation for the management of the company had already started earlier and continued in the German headquarters in the recent period.
