The apricots of Gönc received EU protection
The European Union classified the apricots of Gönc as protected geographical indication products – announced the European Commission in Brussels on Tuesday.
With the protection, the special Hungarian fruit became the member of an elite product group beside other EU member states' protected products. The product group involves about one thousand food products. The names or other geographical indication of the products can not be used by others – reports MTI.
