Another project with AKI participation – ET4D
New digital technologies are expensive, while they are often limited to a narrow area of use, so their spread in animal husbandry is slow. The ET4D project focuses on the dairy sector and aims to connect the information provided by different sensors and to develop methodologies and software tools that can be used to automatically create reports tailored to different target groups based on the collected sensor data.

To this end, the project plans to expand and validate an existing data management system (AMR) that includes sensory sensors. The possibilities of incorporating data from other types of sensor systems into the system are also examined, as well as the potential applicability of a simplified sensor system for small farms. The new system is being tested in several countries, i.e. in dairy cattle barns operating under different technological, climatic and socio-economic conditions, after surveying the selected farms and improving the quality of the Internet connection. The expectations and information needs of the potential data users of the milk value chain are studied using social science methods. A scoring methodology is developed for AMR’s data filtering and aggregation algorithms to extract relevant information. Finally, by developing a modular web application, the information obtained with AMR is made available tailored to the needs of interest groups.
AKI participates in the testing and development of the AMR system by selecting a domestic milk-producing dairy farm, as well as in the planning and implementation of social science studies assessing the information needs of potential data users of the milk value chain.
