New director at the head of the Nestlé PURINA factory in Bük
From May, Nestlé PURINA’s Buk factory will continue its operations with a new director: after the departure of Arthur van Raalte, Tanja Žigić, the former manager of the Surčin factory in Serbia, took over the position.
Tanja Žigić started her career at Nestlé in 2008 as a production engineer. The specialist with a degree in food technology moved spectacularly up the ranks: in 2014, he was promoted to the position of production manager of the Nestlé factory in Surčin, and then a few years later, in 2018, he was appointed director of the factory.
Over the years, Tanja has successfully managed the factory’s competitiveness, which has greatly contributed to the improvement of the plant’s profits and the creation of opportunities for various developments. Under his leadership, the Surčin factory became an important location for Nestlé’s European production bases: the plant increased its production volume by 40 percent, simultaneously increased the number of employees from 330 to 530, and expanded its export markets to more than 40 countries.
“The Nestlé PURINA factory in Bük has developed into the largest and most modern plant in the region over the past 25 years. I am proud of my colleagues, who have continuously ensured the development of the factory with their commitment”
says the new factory manager.
“Building on these results, we will continue to develop and innovate in the future, as this will make it possible for the PURINA factory in Bük to continue to be a key player in European pet food production.”
