Tax traffipax from NAV
In the spring the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) performed 120 previously announced on the spot inspections. This so-called tax traffipax programme resulted in more receipts being issued by enterprises, higher revenues in the books and more people being officially employed. Andrés Tállai, secretary of state at the Ministry for National Economy told: the tax traffipax on the NAV website tells in advance where tax authority raids are likely. With this strategy NAV motivates business for complying with the regulations and for correcting their mistakes voluntarily.
