We continue to strengthen our country’s self-sufficiency
The Hungarian government stands behind all investments that support the further strengthening of our country’s self-sufficiency – declared Dr. Márton Nobilis, State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture responsible for the food industry and trade policy, at the opening ceremony of the Balaton Agrár Zrt. winery, on Friday, in Ordacsehin.
The state secretary explained that self-sufficiency can be achieved most effectively if there are large facilities that ensure both quality and quantity. The new plant located in Ordacsehi offers these possibilities, which is why the government supported the investment with a non-refundable amount of almost one billion forints under the Rural Development Program. Among other things, this support enables market expansion, greenfield investment, and further reduces the ecological footprint by building a sustainable economy.
Dr. Márton Nobilis drew attention to the 4 important pillars of sustainability, increasing efficiency, modernization and integration
At Balaton Agrár Zrt., these are fulfilled. He added that future developments are also possible, because the government stands as a partner behind everyone who wants to develop. This plant is an opportunity for several local winemakers to process their grapes and produce high-quality wine. He explained that we count on the winemakers, and the winemakers can also count on the cooperation of the agricultural administration.
