Guest workers return in large numbers

Due to the foreign job losses this year 25-30 thousand Hungarians forced to return home. It is feared that many of them will remain unemployed.

According to the datas of The Public Employment Service (ÁFSZ) a hundred thousand people which is 2-2,5 percent of the Hungarian working population is working abroad. On the basis of the current tendencies large number might return from Ireland, England, Germany and Austria. Since the beginning of the crisis, seven out of ten Hungarians has returned from England and Ireland. More than two thousand former migrant workers registered in Employment Centers this year, which according to experts can be the quarter of all returnees. In the second half of the year it could be a significant increase in the number of returnees – reports Napi Online.
