Auchan switched to a multichannel model
2017 brought many important things in the life of Auchan Hungary. CEO Dominique Ducoux told that they switched to a multichannel sales model: the company launched its online shop that delivers to Budapest and its agglomeration, opened a supermarket in Szekszárd and will open its first so-called superstore this year. Last year Auchan Hungary started an educational programme that aims at keeping consumers healthy.
In November 2017 Auchan store workers saw their salaries increase by two-digit numbers and managers can also take home more since then. Presently Auchan Hungary employs 6,500 people, from which 400 live with some kind of disability. Mr Ducoux stressed that in sourcing they prefer Hungarian suppliers. This year a new supermarket will open in Zalaegerszeg and a superstore will open in Sopron. //
