The demand for SPAR’s free and health-conscious products is increasing. Monitoring consumer needs, the company is constantly expanding its range of free and health-conscious products, today there are more than a thousand products in this category. Among the customers of SPAR stores are those who have to switch to, for example, lactose- or gluten-free foods for health reasons, while others regularly buy products belonging to the SPAR Lifestyle category due to their changed lifestyle due to sports, dieting, or meat-free eating.
According to surveys, 75% of customers who consume special foods changed their diet for health reasons. According to research, 44% of the Hungarian population buys health-conscious products for themselves or a family member. 22 percent of the respondents stated that they follow a sugar-free, low-carbohydrate, lactose- or gluten-free diet. Most people are interested in sugar-free or reduced-sugar foods.
