More than 10 thousand PET bottles were collected during the PET Cup so far
The PET Cup is designed to draw attention to the increasing pollution in the Tisza River, while the “crew” is picking up as many plastic water bottles from the river as possible. Most of the waste will be recycled.
The crew of the 16 ships reached the half of the planned distance at the third Tisza PET Cup. The ships fished out more than 10 thousands of plastic bottles from the Tisza River in the past four days, so two days before the end of the race, last year’s garbage record has been broken. (MTI)
