MVI elects new presidency members and officials
On 16 May the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) held a leadership election meeting. President László Kovács presented the presidential and financial reports on the year 2017, which the gathered members approved unanimously.
MVI’s presidency resigned at the end of a 4-year cycle. Once again the nominating committee named László Kovács as the presidential candidate and the general assembly unanimously elected him president. In the next 4 years the vice presidents will be Rudolf Semsei, Gyula Berkes, János Garaczi and Zoltán Kiss.
Mr Kovács designated some of the most important tasks for 2018: lobbying for the reduction of the VAT and the tax on representation expenses, organising conferences and competitions, the Gundel Award and the Restaurateur of the Year prize, organising culinary trips, settling the legal situation of MVI’s foundations. //
