The number of chip cards increases
In the first half of the year, the spread of chip cards continued in Hungary: According to the Hungarian National Bank, their rate was nearly 78 percent in June.
Chip card migration in Hungary has continued and further accelerated this year: the number of plastics with EMV chips increased to 6.82 million and their the ratio is 77.89 percent, whereas a year ago it was around 53 percent – shows the datas of the Hungarian National Bank (MNB).
